The true meaning of life is to plant trees, under whose shade you do not expect to sit. --Nelson Henderson
Our Foundation is grateful for the support of those who pass through the doors of Glacial Ridge Hospital and the entire health system. Their philanthropy has strengthened the ability of the Foundation to assist the Hospital in meeting the growing needs of our communities.
The Foundation advances the mission of Glacial Ridge Hospital: to provide high quality services which enhance the quality of life and promote healthy lifestyles for our patients, clients, employees, organization and communities. The purpose of the Glacial Ridge Foundation is to secure private support and manage financial resources gained through voluntary giving for special projects of the Glacial Ridge Hospital.
The Glacial Ridge Foundation was established in April 1986 by five of the Hospital Board of Directors. Our Directors are dedicated individuals who voluntarily give their time and resources. They share a common interest in quality health care for our communities and independent living for seniors. In addition to securing private, financial resources, the Foundation manages the Ridgewood Villa, a 30 unit, independent senior living apartment building across from the hospital.
Private giving is the catalyst that helps make it possible for the Hospital to transform lives and sustain its mission. There are many ways to give that not only help support the mission of the hospital, but also contribute to your own personal and financial goals. The Foundation is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit charitable organization. Your gift is tax-deductible for Federal Income Tax Purposes under the existing laws of the IRS. We thank those who honor the philanthropic spirit and the health of our communities through their gifts to the Glacial Ridge Hospital Foundation.

The Foundation is in the midst of a fundraising campaign to assist in the financial support of the10.8 million dollar building project that broke ground August 2007. The plans call for new construction and equipment for the Emergency Department which has seen a significant and continual increase in patients --47% over the past 3 years. Other than aesthetically, it was untouched in the previous building project just seven years ago. Additionally, the Operating Room will be significantly expanded and will receive technological upgrades so that more advanced surgical procedures can be performed at Glacial Ridge Hospital. It too, was untouched in the recent hospital improvement project that began in 2000. Due to the sustained increase in utilization, the Emergency Department and Operating Room are not able to support continued growth without additional space.
The completed construction project will enable Glacial Ridge Hospital to continue meeting the needs of our patients, physicians, and staff. It will also provide a desirable atmosphere in which our physicians and nurses can provide the best quality of care to our patients. |
