Our Staff and Specialties

Our OB/GYN specialist, Dr. Suja Roberts, has extensive experience providing women reassurance, information, and evidence-based options to determine a plan of care—together. She provides comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care, including minimally invasive surgical services for gynecological conditions. Dr. Roberts is board-certified by the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

She specializes in using safe, minimally invasive treatments for common gynecologic problems that previously required more invasive procedures.

Whether the patient feels her family is already complete or she’s not yet ready to start a family, Dr. Suja Roberts provides the care and information women need to make their next decision. From contraception to preparing for pregnancy to sterilization, her expertise and ability to relate helps women confidently move into the next stage of life.

Dr. Suja provides the following types of temporary contraception for women:

  • NEXPLANON – implant placed inside the upper underarm, 3-year effectiveness rate
  • ParaGard Intrauterine Device – 10-year effectiveness rate
  • Mirena Intrauterine Device – 5-year effectiveness rate
  • Birth Control Pills
  • Birth Control Patch
  • NuvaRing
  • Depo-Provera Shot

Permanent contraception options for women include:

  • Laparoscopic tubal ligation
  • Lap Salpingectomy

She provides pelvic care for the following:

  • Difficulty tolerating a pelvic examination
  • Low back pain during pregnancy
  • Weakened core strength or discomfort following delivery
  • Discomfort during or following sexual intimacy
  • Loss of bowel/bladder control when coughing, laughing, or sneezing
  • Chronic constipation
  • Frequent urination

Most of Dr. Robert’s surgical procedures are laparoscopic (small incisions) or are vaginal, including:

  • Biopsies – Sentinel Node
  • Cesarean section (C-section) deliveries
