The policies below are policies of the Business Office only, and administration reserves the right to make the final decision in all patient account matters.

Payment Plan Policy

If a patient account balance cannot be settled within 30 days, and the balance is over $200, a payment plan is to be set up with the patient.

Less than $500: If an account is less than $500, an acceptable payment plan will have a minimum monthly payment that will result in reducing the balance to $0 over a period of 12 months, but no less than $40 a month.

$500 to $5,000: If the account balance is between $500 and $5000, an acceptable payment plan will have a minimum monthly payment that will result in reducing the balance to $0 over a period of 24 months, but no less than $40 a month.

Over $5,000: For accounts over $5000, an acceptable payment plan will have a minimum monthly payment that will result in reducing the balance to $0 over a period of 36 months. For these payment plans, the patient will have the option of making a down payment of no less than 20% of the balance.

For all three payment plans described above, the patient will have the option of making a down payment of no less than 20% of the balance. If the patient makes this down payment, follows the terms of the agreement and makes all payments on time, accumulated interest will be waived at the end of the repayment period. The last payment(s) will be reduced as a result.

If the terms of these payment plans cannot be agreed to by a patient with an outstanding account, they may discuss alternative options with a Patient Account Representative.

Prompt Pay Discount Policy

If a patient with an outstanding account of more than $500 can settle the account within 30 days of the date of the first statement received, the patient will be eligible to receive a 5% discount. This discount must be requested by the patient to be applied.

If a balance is over $5,000 and the patient wishes to discuss the possibility of a larger discount for taking care of the account within 30 days, they may contact a Patient Account Representative.
