Mark O. Johnson, M.D.
Family Medicine

A native of Fargo, ND, Dr. Johnson graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN and went to work as a research technician at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. It was while working there that he decided to pursue a medical degree. He also had seen how much his father-in-law, a family physician, had enjoyed his profession.

Dr. Johnson is a Board Certified Family Physician. He went to Medical School at the University of Minnesota-Duluth and completed his residency at Bethesda and St. Joseph's Hospital in St. Paul. He continues to expand his training in family medicine, with years of experience in cardiology, Type II Diabetes and geriatric medicine.

Practicing medicine and raising a family in this community have been rewarding and enjoyable since coming to Glenwood in 1990. Glacial Ridge Health System and the community have provided wonderful opportunities for Dr. Johnson and his family. He feels privileged to be a part of the expansions and improvements at GRHS.

Dr. Johnson and his wife Mary have two daughters,Kjersti and Britta, both graduates of Concordia College. Dr. Johnson enjoys playing golf,working out at the GRHS Fitness Center, hiking in the mountains, and walking his dog.
