Family Medicine with Obstetrics

Dr. Kallimel grew up in India with the strong desire to help the people in her country. She received her medical training in India before she came to the United States to begin her residency and decided to remain stateside as she began her career. She joined Glacial Ridge in January 2008 and has become a very strong part of both our Family Medicine and Obstetrics practices.

Graduating from Kottayam Medical College in India, Dr. Kallimel brought her outlook and knowledge of medicine to the United States where she completed her training at In His Image Family Medical Residency Program in Tulsa, OK. Dr. Kallimel’s foreign education and upbringing have
given her a unique insight to medical care and she continually keeps her patient’s priorities, goals and preferences in mind.

Dr. Kallimel’s approach to Family Medicine and Obstetrics is one that follows a holistic ideal focusing on the mind/body/spirit/soul. She believes that the route to patient recovery or a successful pregnancy can be beyond just the physical care that a doctor can provide.

Dr. Kallimel and her husband Aby have a son and daughter and enjoy their family time incredibly. Hiking, cooking and painting are also among her hobbies as she enjoys the relaxation they all bring. Continuing her desire and dreams to help people in her native India, Dr. Kallimel takes a month out of every year to visit her extended family and to volunteer her time and abilities to mission work.
